QJunior Workshop Online: “Quantum Computing and Programming”, July 4-5, 2020

Our online workshop was dedicated to the high school students who are 14 years old or older. The workshop is conducted by QWorld and co-organized by University of Latvia, University of Namibia, University of Turku, and Aion.

We had participants from Namibia, South Africa, Tunisia, Finland, and USA

We used Zoom and Discord for implementing the online workshop. During the workshop, we used the tutorial “Bronze” prepared by QWorld, a collection of Jupyter notebooks and each notebook has a couple of programming tasks to be solved by the participants.

The workshop leader: Dr. Abuzer Yakaryilmaz (QWorld, QLatvia, and University of Latvia)
QMentors: Viktorija Leimane (QLatvia) and Laine Strankale (QLatvia)

Organizers: Abuzer Yakaryilmaz, Anton Limbo (University of Namibia), Annastasia Shipepe (University of Namibia), Laszlo Major (University of Turku), and Joakim Hedenstedt (Aion)

Yakaryilmaz was partially supported by ERDF project Nr. “Quantum computers with constant memory”.
