During the workshop, we will use the tutorial “Bronze” prepared by QWorld. It is a collection of Jupyter notebooks and each notebook has a couple of programming tasks to be…
Take up the challenge and join the QWorldChallenge2020 Autumn Edition! Take part in one of the local or global QBronze workshops, during which you will learn the basics of quantum programming and computing. The autumn edition of the challenge will last by the end of November 2020. The closest Quantum Computing and Programming workshop will be held online in Latvia in October 19 – 24, 2020. And then, the following QCousins will participate in the QWorldChallenge 2020: QPoland, QHungary, QRussia, QPakistan, QCzech, QTunisia, and QBalkan. The QBronze workshops will also be held in Romania and Mexico. The challenge will be finalized with our global QBronze workshop! An original, introductory series of QBronze workshops are based on a collection of Jupyter notebooks using Python as the programming language and Qiskit library…
Quantum Technologies Hackathon (KTHack2020) starts on October 10, 2020 in Turkey! This event brings together enthusiasts, experts, and academics who are interested in quantum technologies. In this context, we cover all quantum technologies and sub-sections. Teams can develop ideas, projects and applications in quantum simulation, quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communication, and beyond. Awards will be given in 3 main categories in the Hackathon: Academic / Scientific StudiesIndustrial / Technological SolutionsTraining and Education Materials The total amount of awards in 3 categories under the sponsorship of PAVOTEK is 10.000 TL. Organizer: QTurkey Check our hackathons page for further details!
Today, we start QBronze36 organized by QTurkey! For the following days, until Friday (September 28 – October 2, 2020), the workshop participants will be solving tasks about Quantum Computing and Programming. The workshop will be held online. For participants, we have prepared the lecture videos, which help them complete the tasks on their own. Every day, between 18:00-21:00, participants can ask their questions and share their progress with the mentors by Discord. Also, we will run daily online Zoom meetings. During the workshop, we will use the tutorial “Bronze” prepared by QWorld. It is a collection of Jupyter notebooks and each notebook has a couple of programming tasks to be solved by the participants. We use python and qiskit to code our quantum programs. Organizer: Özlem Salehi (QTurkey)Mentors: Caner Ercan, Cem Nurlu,…
Already tomorrow (September 25, 2020), we start our entangling workshop with QTunisia! For 3 consecutive days we will give online lectures on Introduction to Quantum Computing and programming. The workshop will be held online. The event will be run by QWorld and hosted by QTunisia. For the participants, we have prepared the lecture videos as an aid in completing subsequent tasks. During the workshop, we will use the tutorial “Bronze” prepared by QWorld. It is a collection of Jupyter notebooks and each notebook has a couple of programming tasks to be solved by the participants. We use python and qiskit to code our quantum programs. The workshop leader: Dr. Maksims Dimitrijevs (QWorld, QLatvia)QMentors: Mohamed Yassine Ferjani, Sahar ben Rached Check our QBronze page for further details!
We welcome QSlovakia to QWorld as the 7th Quantum Cousin. QSlovakia team is formed by two groups of quantum computing researchers. One group is at Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and the other at Research Center for Quantum Information in Bratislava. Coordinators: Daniel Reitzner (RCQI) and Tomáš Samuely (UPJŠ)Contact: qslovakia [at] qworld.lu.lv Quantum Cousins We are now seven quantum cousins. Please check our Entangling QCousins project if you are interested in being a QCousin!
We are happy to inform that QTurkey's first online workshop is starting tomorrow! QTurkey prepared the online material based on Bronze, which consists of about 30 Jupyter notebooks and each notebook contains multiple tasks that must be completed by the participants. Python is the programming language and Qiskit will be the main library for writing our programs. Good luck to all participants!
We are pleased to announce that quantum programming workshop is traveling to TED University in Ankara (February 22-23, 2020). The workshop will be held by the lead of educators and mentors from QTurkey in collaboration with CADS TEDU. Participation is free of charge. During the workshop we will get to know the basic elements of quantum computation, we will implement a few basic quantum algorithms representing the power of quantum computation, and write basic quantum programs. Check the details here
We welcome QRussia to QWorld as the 6th Quantum Cousin. The entangling event was held on November 29-30 and December 1 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. During the three days, the participants worked with our introductory material Bronze on quantum computing and quantum programming and they wrote quantum programs by using Qiskit library. We handed out 25 diplomas. QRussia team was formed by Ilnaz Mannapov, Lilia Safina, Aliya Khadieva, and Kamil Khadiev. The visiting team was from QLatvia and formed by Maksims Dimitriejvs, Laine Strankale, and Viktorija Leimane. The event was supported by Unitary Fund, IT Park, Math Center of Kazan Federal University, Provectus, and Leader ID. Quantum Cousins We are now six quantum cousins. Please check our Entangling QCousins project if you are interested in being a QCousin!
We are happy to inform that in December we will have the first time workshop on the basics of Quantum programming in Lithuania, in Vilnius (December 14-15). The workshops will take place thanks to the Vilnius Girls Code invitation. During the workshop, we will study our introductory material Bronze and will learn the basics of quantum computing and how to write quantum programs that can be run on simulators and quantum devices. In the next step, we will implement quantum protocols and algorithms (such as superdense coding, quantum teleportation, and Grover’s search) and check the different aspects of the power of quantum computation. The workshop is led by Dr. Maksims Dimitrijevs (QLatvia). This workshop is supported by Tesonet, Faculty of Computing and Unitary Fund.
