Today, November 23, we are starting our first Global Quantum Programming Workshop | QBronze! This is the final and the largest workshop organized as part of QWorldChallenge2020 Autumn Edition. More than seven hundred participants from 72 countries are taking part in the workshop! Starting from today, for the following 6 days participants will learn the basics of quantum computing and quantum programming based on the introductory material Bronze prepared by QWorld. The scope of the workshop covers preliminaries of quantum computing, implementation of basic quantum protocols, and algorithms. Participants will be completing the tutorial with the mentoring support through Discord as well as the live sessions which will be conducted by the QWorld team. Very soon we start QBronze37 organized by QLatvia! We have started with an online installation session between 18:00 and 20:00 on Thursday, October 15, 2020. From Monday till Saturday (between October 19 and 24), the workshop participants will be solving tasks about Quantum Computing and Programming. The workshop will be held online. We will run daily online Zoom meetings. We will have three Quantum Talks during the week. Take up the challenge and join the QWorldChallenge2020 Autumn Edition! Take part in one of the local or global QBronze workshops, during which you will learn the basics of quantum programming and computing. The autumn edition of the challenge will last by the end of November 2020. The closest Quantum Computing and Programming workshop will be held online in Latvia in October 19 – 24, 2020. And then, the following QCousins will participate in the QWorldChallenge 2020: QPoland, QHungary, QRussia, QPakistan, QCzech, QTunisia, and QBalkan. QIntern 2020 was successfully completed!

We are happy to announce that we organized our first QIntern program during July-August 2020! This pilot program of QWorld ran for seven weeks, during which the participants, including students, worked with more experienced researchers and quantum technology enthusiasts. At the end of the event, the interns from over thirteen projects had the opportunity to present their works. The projects focused on various fields of quantum computer science, including quantum machine learning and quantum optimization. The interns did research on quantum computing with implementation on real devices, developed new educational materials, designed and implemented new software, and did educational research on quantum programming.
